A dying stranger appears on Bex's farm, unlocking a magic within her she doesn't understand and isn't sure if she wants. Her body becomes connected to the earth, transforming and responding in ways even she does not understand, as the dust around her stirs at her will.
Now she and her adopted sister head to the isolated town of Gravers Junction, where nothing is quite what it seems. Dark forces are stirring and the threat that hunted the dying stranger is now coming for her. She trusts only herself and her sister, but surviving what hunts her may mean trusting the people of Gravers Junction.
